Seeing the aurora borealis as a young man had a tremendous effect on me. The colors and size made me feel part of it all - part of a planet hurdling through space - I was amazed.  I remember feeling emotional knowing through first hand experience that I was a small part of this vast universe. I have been exploring that feeling through art, something that binds us all together, an emotional response on each canvas.
